World Cup: The Golden Shoe Award

Have you heard of the Adidas Golden Shoe Award? If not, it is awarded to the leading goalscorer at the Fifa World Cup tournament upon completion. The most enjoyable aspect of any game is the event of scoring a goal! They thrill the crowds when the ball hits the netting and endless cheers erupt. This striker with the most goals is recognized and awarded this award.

Prior winners include Just Fontaine who holds the record of 13 goals in one tournament which he scored in the 1958 World Cup that was held in Sweden. Look out in Germany as there is a great chance another striker will shine and take home the Golden Shoe Award.
